From first of April 2011 was opened a new ASM Automation office in Ostrava city. The official name of this office is Technological centre.

Our plan is to have PLC programmers on this site and make from this place good strategic point for future business not only with the steelplants in area of town Ostrava.

Company ASM Automation has cooperatived with germany partner SMS Siemag AG on commissioning of new building factory for production of ferroalloy- FeNi since October 2010. This is the technology of production of nickel from ores rich in nickel. In this area near the newly built factories to benefit these ore deposits are approximately 123Mton ore containing 1.5% of Ni with the excavation of over 25 years. Planned production is 36ktun Ni from Feni in first years.

The concrete activities of company ASM Automation consist of the support the PC and PLC software specialists of our team and business colleagues from SMS Siemag AG in the commissioning of reduction furnaces SAF , automation and material storage a dedusting system. The project still continues in 2011 with a planned start-up for April 2011.

Our company ASM GmbH has received project for Alloy Plant from Herweg and JÖST for electric arc furnace EAF with capacity 125 tons.

Alloying system automatically weight and load material to shaft furnace and ladle furnace from 13 material bins. For weighing there are 3 dosing belts and weighing car.

Alloys and Ferro alloys will be added to the steel bath during tapping and secondary metallurgical treatment. The amount of to be added material needs to be prepared via the Alloy plant (with setpoints from Level 1 or Level 2). The Alloy plant needs to provide the necessary quality and quantity of the alloy to the furnaces in time. The preparation of the alloying mix and the feeding to the intermediate bunkers close to the furnaces need to be carried out by the alloy plant system independent of the furnaces. Due to the mixes of alloy is calculated by the Level 2 system of the FSF and LF, the quantity and quality has to be prepared by the alloy plant according given level 2 values.

Our company ASM Automation has received project from our bussiness partner MME GmbH which is a provider of project management and maintenance services. It offers a range of medium- and long-term technical assistance in the production and maintenance of iron and steel product manufacturing industries.

The project solved the comunication and connection between Level 1 and 2 control system for DRI Plant in company Hosco.

German company ASM GmbH recieved project from bussiness partner Brach in Bremen.

The project contained the technical consultation and support. Further the speciaists solved the develepment of IT Network of meltshop for equipmets of stelplants Electric Arc Furnace EAF and Ladle Furnace LF.

Our german company ASM GmbH solved project for our partner SMS Siemag AG in Düsseldorf. The project for electro engineering.

The scope of supply was about dveloping P&I-Diagram, Hook-ups and creation of new documentation.

Company ASM Automation again received a project for a Steelmaking plants KSC in Iran.

The meltshop of company KSC consists of six furnaces with a capacity of 180 tons, three LF and equipment for continuous casting - Two double strands slab continuous casting machins, a six strands bloom continuous casting machines and two six strands billet continuous casting machines. Total production of blooms, billets and slabs of steel on average 2.4 million tons.

The main task of this project was the commissioning of high power for new furnace transformer of electric arc furnace EAF No.3 with capacity 180 tons liquid steel, in system ArCos - regulation of elecrodes by the company Vatron and Process Control System Upgrade S7, WinCC. Total control setpoint, change visualization, offering a possible solution of Level 2 Process Control System.

Company ASM GmbH worked on a  project for LD converter for company SMS Demag AG in Düsseldorf.

The scope of supply was about developing of P&I-Diagram, hook-up and creation of new documentation.

Company ASM Automation has received projects for  Direct reduction plant in SKS, Iran. This unit converts the pellets into sponge iron (direct reduction iron), the plant comprises four Midrex modules.

The Project consists development of Core A+B incl.,  Process Control System, ABB 800xA, Material Handling+Deduster, technical Support and Engineering.
